He Scores!

Well, Matthew started karate yesterday. The instructor was very good at dealing with a room full of students (it was orientation so 75 school-mates joined Matthew with parents to see how this was going to work). She taught them about self-discipline and respecting others (big emphasis on respecting your parents wishes to clean your room and do chores...yeehaa!). So, last night and today he did great with respect. If he acted disrespectful or didn't do as asked, all we had to do was tell him that his teacher asked us to grade him on his behavior (which she did!). Boy did he hop to it and clean his room, pick up his toys in the living room. He even made his bed before school without being asked!! Go Karate!! Those are two pics of him at the orientation. He had so much fun!

Next, look at that loot. He woke up at 6am this morning to tell me it was "Chicken Little Day Mommy" and to make sure I was going to go to the Disney Store to pick up our reserved copy of the DVD. So, since he was so excited (and face it b/c he'd so darn spoiled I picked up a few added pieces to go with the movie). He is now watching it for the 3rd time tonight. Geez. He'll have it memoriezed by morning!
